Men have different acne triggers than women and as such treatments must be specifically tailored so that they can be effective. Hormone levels are usually the main trigger in males. The testosterone that men produce usually result in oily skin. Men produce higher levels of sebum which unfortunately lead to breakouts because of clogged pores.

Your facial hair/beards may also lead to acne since they trap oil and may become a bacterial breeding ground. Men are prone to acne on the face, arms, chest, back and shoulders. Sweating may exacerbate the condition. Bodybuilding supplements that promote muscle growth may also bring on acne or make it worse.

We offer several treatment options for acne and after assessing we will recommend a treatment that suits your skin’s needs.

We know that acne can be frustrating, but if you are patient and consistent and you will see results.
